This past weekend, Hurricane Helene devastated the Southeast, leaving over 100 lives lost, many still missing, and entire communities in ruins. Western North Carolina has been particularly hard hit. Floodwaters have destroyed homes and businesses, roads remain blocked by landslides, and entire towns are cut off from emergency services. Many families are without power, access to clean water, or the ability to seek help. Communities like Asheville and others in the surrounding areas are still assessing the full extent of the damage, but it is clear that the need for assistance is urgent.
